'Mitana'
Spiritual Church
was
born, in July,
2001.
'Mitana'
is the word for
'star' or guiding
light in the Yahapa
dialect of Labu
Tally village on
the Huon Gulf, Lae,
New Guinea. The
Rev. Joan Miller
lived there from
1969 - 1971 and
wrote the first
dictionary of their
dialect. When answering
the call to spirit
that Joan was to
open up a Spiritual
Church in Australia,
telling her 'that
every city starts
with just one brick'
and to call the
church 'Mitana',
because people would
be guided by the
'star' just as the
three wise men were
guided to the stable
where Jesus Christ
was born.

Along
the path there has
been a variety of
steadfast lightworkers
that have helped
build the foundations
of this church,
many thanks &
blessings to the
original members
and founders, Rev.
Joan Miller, Judy
( sister) Mark,
Eddy, Nimmie, Michelle.
Carrie Ann St. Claire
who began the Lighthouse
Church at Sth Tweed
some years ago,
was ordained minister
by Joan & assisted
at her services
until she passed
into the spirit
world. Wally Hunt
has been a highly
regarded lightworker
at our church and
was Joan's assistant.
Wally is now the
Secretary in the
Church Committee
Members.

This year Rev. Joan
was told by 'spirit'
that it was time
for her to retire
from her leadership
role in the church
as she had more
work to do &
her spiritual obligations
would take her to
many places far
and wide.

On Mother's Day,
in May, 2008, the
leadership role
was handed over
to Judy Jackson,
spiritual teacher,
& medium from
the Gold Coast,
Qld. The new energies
and vibrations that
have guided Judy
to this position
in the ASU of Churches,
Sydney, is both
humbling and exciting,
and she looks forward
to embracing her
spiritual journey
with love, commitment,
strength, and above
all guidance from
God and the Masters
both Planetary and
Cosmic.
Judy's
ordination took
place on Sunday
the 28th December,
2008 by Rev. Joan
Miller, we look
forward to welcoming
her as the new Reverend
of Mitana Spiritual
Church and to continue
on in her ministry
with light, courage
and humility and
to carry out the
great work of Spiritual
Enlightenment.
....Amen....
